Academic Advisor

According to METU regulations, each student society at METU has an academic advisor who guides the society while the society is performing its events within university. The academic advisor of METU Aerospace Students Society is Asst. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Uzol.

Oğuz Uzol was born in Eskişehir in 1970. After graduating from primary school in İzmit, he graduated from Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi and Ankara Fen Lisesi. He had university education in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at METU between 1988-1992. He had his Master of Science degree from the same department in 1995. From 1995 to 2000, he had his Doctor of Philosophy studies in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, USA and he graduated in 2000. After that he worked as researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University between January 2001 and September 2005. Since then he has been conducting his academic career as a member of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at METU.

At this time, Oğuz Uzol is one of the two Vice Chairmans of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at METU.
