EA Ankara Activities

METU Aerospace Students Society is a member of EUROAVIA since October, 2002 and known as EUROAVIA Ankara in international level.

The first international event that EUROAVIA Ankara organized was Fly-In Ankara, which held in 2004. The EUROAVIAns who participated to this event had the chance to have some lectures / seminars on aerospace, to sightsee Ankara, to familiarize Turkish culture and life style. Moreover, some part of the event was held in Ankara and some in Fethiye, a very nice resort town, and the EUROAVIAns also had the chance to see the historical and natural beauties of Turkey. Fly-In 2004 ended successfully with this nice holiday experience.

Another EUROAVIA event held in international level by EUROAVIA Ankara was the organization of the Electoral Meeting of the EUROAVIA Congress (EMEAC) in Ankara in 2007. In this event, EMEAC’07 Ankara, the meetings for the election of new International Board (IB) members were held. Moreover, there were technical and social trips within this event. EMEAC’07 Ankara ended wtih success and all the participant EUROAVIAns were delighted with the performance of EUROAVIA Ankara in organizing of this event.

In addition to these organizations, members of EUROAVIA Ankara participated in other EUROAVIA events held by other EUROAVIA Local Groups, such as symposiums, Fly-In’s, EMEAC’s and AMEAC’s. Members of EUROAVIA Ankara visited many countries and cities in Europe in this way and had the chance to gain experience on EUROAVIAn relationships and to familiarize European culture and life style.

When it comes to the Workshops of EUROAVIA, members of EUROAVIA Ankara took place both in the Workshop events as participant and in the organization teams which organize the Workshop events.

Another activity we performed within EUROAVIA was the local reports which summarize the events we performed in local base and were sent to be published in News, the official publication of EUROAVIA.
